Speak Hear Act

Somebody will SPEAK something that eventually many people HEAR and a few select people are driven to ACT on what they interpret the message to be.  So I am going to exercise my right under the constitution and express my own interpretations, in writing, of things that somebody will SPEAK, somebody will HEAR and somebody will ACT on.

To be able to say that "I'm proud to be and American" has been the dream of many people who have been systematically disenfranchised, whose faith that the right thing would be done had been diminished, who hold onto the belief that all men truly are created equal and will be treated equally, that being judged on the content of their character not their social status or color of skin would one day be the status quo and not the exception.  Some people are fearful that their race will no longer exist if America continues to allow all people the rights afforded under the Constitution.  That fear can drive people to blindly follow leads that can be detrimental to the well-being of all Americans.

I think America has to be true to it's Constitution, to it's people and to it's promise that many men and women throughout history, have given their lives to defend.  I think we should honor their sacrifice by being better people, finding common ground to build upon and doing what's right for Americans.  I think we should continue to embrace what works, change what doesn't and not put profits above doing the right thing.  America deserves no less.
